Auto captionsOdia

ଓଡ଼ିଆ Odia captions, in Odia script or English letters

Muvomi hears Odia in a video, with the English words people mix into it, and writes the captions the way you choose: in Latin letters, in Odia script with the English words kept as they were said, or as a translation. In Latin letters or Odia script every word keeps its time; a translation is timed phrase by phrase.

The same Odia captions, three ways

A test voice heard by the recognizer the Captions tool uses, told Odia as it is when Odia is chosen, and written by the app's own code, on 14 October 2026. In Latin letters and Odia script each word keeps its time; a translation is timed phrase by phrase. The line is shown exactly as the app wrote it: the recognizer wrote some words as Assamese spells them, such as “mai” for “I”, which Odia says as “mun”.

How Odia captions work

Everything auto captions do
  1. Put the video in the editor

Import a video or a recording with Odia speech in it, and open Captions.

  2. Press Auto-caption

Language starts on Auto, which takes the language from the voice; or choose Odia first. The captions are laid on the timeline, each word at the moment it is said, and the tool says what it heard.

  3. Choose how it is written

Write in: Latin letters (Odia in Latin letters), Odia script, or Translate to English and any other language of the list. The captions change at once.

  4. Pick a look and export

Choose one of the caption looks, then export the video with the captions in it, or download the SRT or VTT file.

Odia captions, questions answered

Last updated .

Can Muvomi make Odia captions from a video automatically?

Yes. Put the video in the editor, open Captions and press Auto-caption. Language starts on Auto, which takes the language from the voice, so Odia speech and the English words in it are written as captions, each word at the moment it is said. You can also choose Odia in the Language list first. On Auto an Odia voice may be heard as Bengali. Choose Odia, and the tool offers Listen again as Odia (one more request); choosing Odia before you press Auto-caption has it heard as Odia the first time.

How do I get Odia captions in Latin letters?

Choose Write in: Latin letters. Odia words are written the way people type them (“bandhugana”, “aaji” and “mai”), and English words stay as they were said. The captions are written again at once from what was already heard: nothing is listened to again, and every caption keeps its place and its time.

Can the captions be in Odia script?

Yes. Choose Write in: Odia script. The Odia words appear in their own letters (“ବନ୍ଧୁଗଣ”, “ଆଜି” and “ମଇ”), and English words such as “amazing”, “app” and “morning” stay in English letters, as people write them. All 87 caption looks draw the script with English words mixed in.

Can it translate Odia speech into English subtitles?

Yes. Choose Write in: Translate to English, or English as the language. The speech is translated phrase by phrase, and each phrase is shown while it is said. Names and English words are kept as they were said. Translate to also lists 50 other languages, Spanish and Japanese among them.

Can I ask the editor's AI for Odia captions?

Yes. Ask it in your own words: “Odia captions” for Odia script, “captions in English letters” or “translate the captions to English”. It sets the choice and writes the captions already made again, without listening again. When the edit has no captions yet, it adds them that way.

Can I download Odia subtitles as SRT or VTT?

Yes. The Captions panel downloads SRT and VTT files, which carry the captions as they are written: in Latin letters, in Odia script or translated.

Does changing the language or the writing cost anything?

Listening to a recording is a captions job, 10 credits, once. Writing the words in Latin letters or translating them is a captions job the first time each is asked for; going back to a writing already made, and choosing English, cost nothing and listen to nothing again. Choosing a language other than the one heard offers Listen again as that language, which is one more captions job.
