Media library for your images, footage and audio

The media library in Muvomi keeps every image, clip and recording you upload or generate in one place. Find a file by name, kind, folder or tag, then use it in an edit, a design or a brand kit.

Pictures, clips and sound drop into a library and sort themselves into kinds.

What Asset Library can do

  • Upload by dropping files in

Drop files anywhere on the page or press Upload media. Up to ten are taken at a time, one after another, and each appears in the list as it lands.

  • Images, video and audio together

Images in PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF or SVG. Video in MP4 or WebM, up to 4,096 pixels a side and 10 minutes. Audio in MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC, up to 10 minutes.

  • Stored in one known form

An image is kept as a PNG, turned the right way up and scaled to fit 4,096 pixels a side. Audio is kept as a mono WAV at 24 kHz. Video stays the MP4 or WebM you sent.

  • What you make arrives by itself

Pictures from AI Image, clips from AI Video, audio cleaned in the editor and PNGs exported from Design Studio join the library as they are made. So do the logo and pictures read from a website for a design.

  • Find a file quickly

Search by name or tag. Show only images, videos or audio. Sort by most recent or by name, in a grid or a list.

  • Folders, stars, tags and an archive

Make folders with a name and one of six colours, star what you reach for most, and give a file up to 12 tags. Select up to 100 files to move, star or archive in one action.

  • Rename without touching the file

Change a file's label in the library whenever you like. The stored file stays the same, and so does every project that uses it.

  • Use a file where you are working

The video editor's media panel, a picture layer in Design Studio and a brand kit's logo all open this library. From the library itself, the plus on a file starts a new edit with it on the timeline.

  • Preview and download

Open a file to see or play it, with its size in pixels and its length in seconds. Download brings back the stored file.

How Asset Library works

  1. Upload your media

Open Assets and drop your files in, or choose them from your computer. Each one is checked, converted where it needs to be and listed with its size.

  2. Put it in order

Create a folder for a campaign or a client, move files into it and add the tags you will search for later.

  3. Use it in your work

In the editor, a design or a brand kit, open the library, search, and press the plus. The file is used from where it is stored, so nothing is uploaded twice.

  4. Archive what is finished

Archive the files you no longer want in view. They leave the main list and can be restored from Archive.

Who Asset Library is for

  • Editors with footage in many places

Bring the clips, stills and voice recordings for one film together before you cut, in a folder named for the job.

  • Brands that reuse the same pieces

Keep the logo, the product shots and the end card where every edit and every design can reach them.

  • Creators who generate a lot

Star the generated pictures and clips worth keeping, tag them by idea and archive the rest.

  • Freelancers with several clients

Give each client a folder and a colour, and open that folder when their work comes round again.

  • Podcasters and voice artists

Upload a recording, clean it in the editor, and find the cleaned version in the library beside the original.

Media library questions, answered

What can I upload to the media library?

Images, video and audio. Images: PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and SVG. Video: MP4 and WebM. Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC.

How large can a file be?

Up to 100 MB a file. Within that, a video may be up to 4,096 pixels a side and 10 minutes long, audio up to 10 minutes, and an image up to 40 megapixels.

Does it keep my original file?

Video is kept as uploaded. An image is converted to PNG and scaled down if it is larger than 4,096 pixels a side. Audio is converted to a mono WAV at 24 kHz, so a stereo track is stored in mono.

Can I delete a file?

Not from the library today. A file can be archived, which takes it out of the main list, and restored later. Projects that use it keep working either way.

Do generated images and videos go into the library?

Yes. Pictures from AI Image and clips from AI Video are added when they are made, and so are PNGs exported from Design Studio. Media you uploaded inside a template shows up too.

Does it come with stock footage or music?

No. The library holds your own uploads and what you make in Muvomi. It has no stock photos, stock video or music catalogue.

Can a team share one media library?

No. A library belongs to one account, and a file is served only to that account when it is signed in. There are no shared workspaces and no public links to a file.

How do I use a file in a video?

In the video editor open the media panel, find the file and press the plus to add it to the timeline as a clip. Or begin in the library: the plus on a file opens a new edit with that file already in place.
