Music & SoundEdit and finish
Background music for video, mixed under the voice
Films, templates and shorts made in Muvomi come with background music for video built in: a score that drops under every spoken line. In the editor you lay your own audio on tracks and set each clip's level and fades.
What Music & Sound can do
Your own music on the timeline
Import an MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC file and drop it on an audio track. Trim it, split it, move it against the picture and layer it with other sound on up to eight tracks.
A level and fades for every clip
Set each clip from 0 to 100%, mute it with one press, and fade it in and out over up to two seconds. A video clip's own sound has the same controls.
Four pieces of music built in
An original score and three calmer tracks: Quiet lift, Open horizon and Human warmth. Each is a one-minute recording. AI Product Director films use the three tracks; voiced templates and shorts offer all four.
Music that steps back for the voice
Where a film has a voice, the music's level is drawn from the voice recording itself, ten times a second. It eases down just before a line, holds through the speaker's short pauses and returns once the voice has stopped.
A score that moves with the cut
In the 28 voiced motion templates the music lifts on the beats that land and dips for an instant as the camera travels to the next. When a film outlasts the one-minute recording, a second pass is crossed in where a beat begins, so the music ends with the film.
Sound effects on the action
Seven short, dry sounds mark what happens on screen: a tick, a pop, typing keys, a tap, a breath of air as the camera travels, a landing and a chime. Each lands on the frame of its action and plays up to 40% lower while someone is speaking.
Switches for what you hear
Turn music on or off, choose the track and set its level. Sound effects have a switch of their own in voiced templates and shorts. In an AI Product Director film you ask in chat: quieter music, another mood, no music.
The same mix in preview and export
What you hear in the preview is what the MP4 carries, as AAC audio at 320 kbps. An AI Product Director film can also be exported without its background music.
How Music & Sound works
Import your audio
Open the video editor and drop in an MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC file. It appears in your media, ready for any edit.
Lay it under the picture
Drag it to an audio track and line it up with the cut. Trim the end, or split it where the scene changes.
Set the level and the fades
Lower the music under speech with the clip's volume slider, and give it a fade in and a fade out of up to two seconds.
Export the mix
Export the MP4 and the soundtrack goes with it, exactly as it played in the preview.

Who Music & Sound is for
Creators with a track of their own
Lay music you have the rights to under a vlog or a product video and fade it out under the last line.
Makers of narrated explainers
Let the score sit under the voice without riding a fader; the dip follows the recording.
Teams starting from a motion template
Swap a template's own score for a calmer track, or switch off the clicks, without touching the picture.
Editors of podcasts and interviews
Put an intro sting and an outro bed around a conversation and set both well under the voices.
Short-form makers
Choose the music for a skit and decide how far under the voices it sits.
Background music for video questions, answered
How do I add background music to a video?
Open the video editor, import your audio file and drop it on an audio track under the picture. Set its volume, add a fade in and out, and export.
Does Muvomi come with music I can use?
Films made in Muvomi do. AI Product Director films choose from three instrumental tracks, and voiced templates and shorts add an original score to those three. There is no library of songs to browse, and the built-in music is not offered as a clip in the editor.
Does the music get quieter when someone speaks?
In AI Product Director films, voiced templates and shorts, yes: the music follows the voice recording and drops while a line is said. In the video editor it does not happen by itself; you set each clip's volume.
Can it make music from a text prompt?
No. Muvomi does not compose music from a description. You use the built-in scores or bring audio of your own.
Which sound effects are included?
Seven: a tick, a pop, typing keys, a tap, a breath of air, a landing and a chime, none longer than 0.68 seconds. Voiced templates and shorts place them on their own actions. You can switch them off, and you cannot place one by hand.
Is my music kept in stereo?
Not when you import it as an audio file: that is stored as a single channel at 24 kHz, which folds a stereo mix together. Sound that is part of a video clip is left as recorded, and the built-in scores are stereo.
Does adding music cost extra?
Mixing sound in the editor uses nothing from your plan. The video you export does, as any export from an edit does the first time.
What can it not do with music?
There is no beat detection for your own tracks, no volume curve inside a clip and no equaliser for music. For a level change part-way through a track, split the clip and set each part.
