Video EditorEdit and finish
Online video editor with a multitrack timeline
An online video editor that runs in the browser. Cut video, pictures, sound and titles together on up to eight layers, ask the AI editing partner for changes you preview first, and export an MP4.
What Video Editor can do
A multitrack timeline in the browser
Lay video, pictures, audio and titles on up to eight layers. One edit holds 64 clips and runs for up to five minutes at 30 frames a second.
Trim, split and ripple delete
Drag a clip to move it and drag its edges to trim. Press S to split at the playhead. Shift and Delete removes a clip and closes the gap on every track, so sound, titles and captions stay in step.
An AI editing partner you review
Describe a change for the whole video or for one clip. It comes back as a list of up to 24 edits. Preview them on your footage, untick any you do not want, and apply the rest.
Quick edits for a recording
Select a recording and remove its silences, find its scene cuts or remove its filler words. Each arrives as a set of cuts to watch before you keep them.
Titles in three typefaces
Add text in Inter, DM Sans or Space Grotesk at any size from 16 to 240. Set the colour, the position and the alignment, and have it fade or rise in.
Colour looks and camera moves
Give a clip one of 13 looks, or set exposure, contrast, saturation and temperature by hand in Lumetri Color, with curves, colour wheels and your own LUTs. Add a slow push in, or capture up to 40 framing points for a pan and zoom of your own.
Generated footage and motion scenes
Generate a clip of 5, 10 or 15 seconds, or a picture, from a prompt and insert it at the playhead. Add a motion template to the timeline as a scene and fill in its words and colours there.
Undo, changes and versions
The edit saves as you work. Undo steps back through your last 40 changes, the Changes list reverses a single AI edit, and version history restores any saved version.
Export for any screen
Choose 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 4K or your own dimensions, a frame rate of 24, 30 or 60, and H.264 or HEVC. A destination menu reframes the same edit to 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 for the export.
How Video Editor works
Import your media
Drop video, pictures or audio onto the media panel, up to ten files at a time, or pick from your asset library. Press + on a file, or drag it to a track.
Cut it on the timeline
Move, trim and split the clips, add titles and choose a frame shape: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5. With snapping on, clip edges catch each other and the playhead.
Ask for changes, caption it, clean the sound
Open the AI editor and say what should change. The Captions and Audio panels write subtitles from the speech and clean up a recording.
Export the MP4
Press Export, say where the video is going and how large it should be, and download the file once it has rendered. You can keep working in the meantime.

Who Video Editor is for
Founders cutting a product demo
Join screen recordings, put a title on each step and export a 16:9 film for the site and a 9:16 cut for social from the same edit.
Course makers and teachers
Take the dead air out of a lesson recording, caption it and put a title card between sections.
Interview and podcast editors
Cut pauses and filler words from every track at once, so picture, sound and captions stay aligned.
Social media teams
Reframe one landscape recording as an upright and a square version, each with its captions held inside the safe area.
Marketers without an editor on the team
Say what should change in a sentence, read the edits it would make, and keep only the ones that are right.
Online video editor questions, answered
Is the online video editor free to use?
Editing by hand and exporting are free on every plan, the Free plan included, which adds a Muvomi watermark. An AI edit uses 20 credits a request and captions 10 credits. Free gives 200 credits a month; Starter, at $10 a month, gives 2,000 credits and no watermark.
Which files can I import?
MP4 and WebM video, PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and SVG pictures, and MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC audio. A file can be up to 100 MB, and a video or audio recording up to 10 minutes long.
How long can an edited video be?
An edit runs for up to five minutes and holds up to 64 clips. That suits ads, demos, lessons and social cuts; it is not built for feature-length projects.
What can the AI editing partner change?
It can trim, move, split and remove clips, cut a time range out of every track, add and restyle titles, grade colour, add a pan or zoom, set volume and fades, and change the caption look or the frame shape. It reads clip details and caption text, not the picture or the sound, so it cannot judge what is in a shot.
Can I undo something the AI changed?
Yes. Nothing changes until you press Apply selected edits, and every applied edit is listed under Changes with an undo of its own. Timeline undo and version history work as well.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The editor runs in the browser after you sign in, your edit is saved to your account as you work, and the export is rendered on Muvomi's servers.
What sizes and formats can I export?
An MP4 in H.264 or HEVC at 720p, 1080p, 1440p or 4K, with a frame rate of 24, 30 or 60. You can also type your own width and height, in even numbers from 256 pixels up to a total of 4096 × 2160.
What can the video editor not do?
It has no speed change, no transitions other than fades, no background removal, no stabilisation and no tracking of faces or objects. A motion scene on the timeline cannot be split or trimmed.
